Saturday November 16th at 1:30 & 4:15 PM at
Methow Valley Elementary
Methow Arts, along with The Missoula Children’s Theatre presents THE PIED PIPER, an original adaptation of the classic children’s tale. What do you do when your town is overrun by ravenous rats? Sara, an orphan girl, and the other Townspeople of Hamelin Town turn to the Mayor of Hamelin and the Council when their town is threatened. They then call on the Pied Piper to save them from the troublesome creatures. The Mayor’s children, staff, and the Cooks also join in the endeavor. Find out what happens when the town chooses not to pay the Piper and the children are led away from the town along with the rats!
Auditions
Tuesday, Nov 12 at 3:30pm, at Methow Valley Elementary, meet in the Cub Gym. Students in Grades 1-12 can audition for a part. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Director. Some students may be cast as Assistant Directors. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-minutes after the audition for older students with parts.
Rehearsals
Nov 12 – 15 at MVE, after school. Not all cast members will be needed at every session, but those selected must be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role and be available for all scheduled performances. There is a $25 residency fee for those cast in the production. Scholarships are available, please contact Methow Arts directly.
Performances
Sat, Nov 16 at 1:30 and 4:15 PM and will be presented at Methow Valley Elementary.
Tickets
At the door. $8/adult 18+, $3/students 6-17yrs, FREE for children under 5 yrs.
