Art, Social Justice & Cambodia with artist Lauren Iida

We invite you to a presentation from Cambodia-based artist Lauren Iida. Lauren will present on the following topics included in her current efforts in both the US and Cambodia: art and social justice, supporting emerging Cambodian artists (most of whom are disabled and all self-taught from impoverished backgrounds,) her work with folktale adapting and illustration with indigenous people in Cambodia, her current hand-cut paper art including the “Memory Net” 30- foot long paper cut installation, her upcoming public art project for the WA state convention center addition, her unique contemporary art tours throughout the country, a little Cambodia history, lots of amazing art and photos!
