Medium: Surface Design, including Wet Felting, Eco Printing and Natural Dyeing

I have studied an accumulative four years at three different colleges including Johnson State in VT., Pacific NW College of Art and Oregon College of Arts and Crafts, both in Portland, OR.

Recently I studied abroad in both Germany and Belgium with two different renowned wet felter’s.  These experiences expanded my knowledge and techniques of wet felting considerably over the past two years.

Also working with two Master surface designer’s… Australian artist India Flint, who created the medium of Eco printing and Israeli fiber artist Irit Dulman I have become accomplished in the art of Eco dyeing, which is a sustainable form of contact printing using fresh and dried botanical materials.

Items available for sale are wool, cotton and silk accessories in both Eco dyed and felted mediums including hats, scarves, wraps and decorations for the home. Also available are hand dyed Indigo organic cotton baby clothing.

My studio is located at my ranch on the E. Chewuch River Rd., approx. 2.75 miles north of Winthrop. Just call if you’d like to visit me.

In the Methow Valley my work is available at the Confluence Gallery gift shop in Twisp, and also at Nectars Skin Bar in Winthrop. I have a table every year at the annual Community Center Christmas Bazaar in Twisp.
