As always, the Bite will feature a scrumptious variety of food choices prepared by local restaurants, merchants and organizations. There will be live and silent auctions, with items donated by local merchants.

The event is a major fundraising event for the Winthrop Kiwanis, which uses the proceeds to support public service projects around the valley.

Each year, Kiwanis designates a special project to support. Last year, the annual “Fund A Dream” project was “Tools For The Trades”. The Advanced Construction Trades Class at Liberty Bell High School had acquired a job site trailer to transport tools to a job site, but that’s where their funding ran out. The Winthrop Kiwanis Club FAD project filled the trailer with the tools these students need to learn about trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. These skills are in high demand, and this class provides these students with a head start to enter the workforce, or technical school, after graduation.

Kiwanis has been dedicated to serving local children, and our community since 1948.
