After The Wildfire: Reflections on resiliency, re-building and recovery

Presented by Confluence Gallery at the Phoenix Festival in Twisp, WA.

The show will open on October 3rd at the Phoenix Festival in the Education Station space and will then move to a venue TBD and run thru December 2015.For this exhibit, we are asking artists to respond to aftermath of the catastrophic wildfires in 2014. The 256,108 acre Carlton Complex Fire started on July 14, by lightning from a weather system that moved through the Methow Valley. Everyone who lived through those long months was affected in some way. What did you experience once the flames died out and the smoke cleared? Tell your story through art and share it with the community at the Phoenix Festival October 3rd on the Twispworks Campus in Twisp,WA.Number of pieces to submit: up to 3 pieces per artist.

Here are the rules- Each piece must be:
Your own original work.
Available for sale.
Created in after the wildfires of 2014
Any Size
Any Medium
Ready for hanging with appropriate hardware/wire secured to work

Please note the curators have the right to refuse work, even after work is delivered to the gallery, if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, or available space of the show. We are looking for high quality execution and thoughtful content that contributes to the vision of the show as stated above.

DEADLINES:
Intent to Submit by 9-1-15 (email to exhibit coordinator salyna@confluencegallery.com) WITH samples of work or work in progress.
Email Jpegs of work or work in progress by 9-15-15 (300 dpi for promo materials).
Artist Statement and Bio by 9-15-15 (in email or word doc only).
Completed works, Inventory Sheet and Confluence Gallery Contract 10-1-15.
Show Opening October 3rd 12pm – 11pm at Phoenix Festival. All artists are encouraged to attend.
Show Closes December TBD. Work will be available for pick up when contacted by curator.

The Confluence Gallery and Art Center is a non-profit gallery. All shipping costs to and from the gallery of unsold works is each artist’s responsibility. See Confluence Gallery Shipping Procedures form for details.

Gallery Gift Shop Open Call

Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA is taking submissions for art to be sold in our successful, year- round gallery gift shop. We invite artists to submit visual art and quality craft items for review.

Please submit up to 5 clear images of individual pieces or product lines to be juried.Describe the medium and/or process of your art or products and the corresponding price points.

The open call deadline is October 1st and all accepted art must be delivered to Confluence Gallery by November 1, 2015.

Each piece must be:

· Your own original work.
· Available for sale.
·Created in the last 3 years.
· Any Size
· Any Medium
· Ready for hanging with appropriate hardware/wire secured to work (works without hanging hardware will not be accepted)

· Please note the curators have the right to refuse work, even after work is delivered to the gallery, if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, or available space of the gallery. We are looking for high quality execution that contributes to the diversity and vision of the gallery gift shop program.

Confluence Gallery offers commission structure of 60/40 to non-members and 65/35 to member artists.
