“Fire” at Methow Gallery
Sept 26-Jan 3, Thurs-Sat, 12-7pm, 2014
Fire; a helpful tool, even a potential lifesaver but summer fires can be destructive beyond belief. In The Methow, all kinds of fires inhabit our land and our psyche. As the flames from the summer fires dwindle, what are we left with? The Methow Gallery exhibit, Fire, asks artists to reveal their feelings about the subject. Does an image etched on the mind need to become tangible, do words need to be set down or the blob that was a boat become sculpture?
There are as many stories about the firestorms of 2014 as there are people to tell them. Methow Gallery will present some of these ‘stories’ from September 26-January 3. Come in and see what rises from the ashes. And remember…help the recovery effort-buy local!
Contact the curators at methowgallery.com if interested in participating.
