Mountain Film on Tour
Sept 2-4
North Cascades Mountain Hostel brings back the 9th annual Mountainfilm on Tour at the Mazama Ranch House this Labor Day Weekend, September 2-4 for three nights of incredible films displayed outside under the stars.
The festivities kick off on Friday night with the Medley, a collection of short films ranging from adventure to social justice and the power of the human spirit.
Saturday evening brings the main event. Doors open at 6 p.m for folks to choose their spot, grab a bite from local vendors, and sip on a beer while a local DJ plays some ear candy. Saturday’s show, Indomitable Spirit, features an unforgettable collection of shorts focusing on folks overcoming great odds that will leave you feeling inspired. Films start at roughly 8pm (once the sky darkens), following a presentation by our non-profit sponsor Methow Valley Citizens Council.
Families will be the focus of the Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. inside the Mazama Ranch House Barn with a collection of short films curated for young curious minds.
We’ll close out the weekend Sunday evening with Big Green World, telling the stories of innovators, visionaries and stewards of the natural world. 8 p.m (doors at 7).
Bring your blankets and/or low-backed chairs and settle in for some top-notch entertainment that will leave you inspired.
