Oh, Spring. That much-welcomed time of year when we have more hop in our step than the Easter Bunny. After all, in Spring, we find stronger footing amongst the melting snow, loosen up in lighter layers, and salute the sun for sitting in the sky a little while longer each day.

And oh, the flowers. Anyone who has spent more than a day in the Methow in Spring knows about the rippling wave of flowered gold that paints our hills and valleys. Arrowleaf Balsamroot, to be exact – the same flower that we intentionally chose to synthesize with the word “Twisp” for a logo that represents our businesses and community in equal fashion.

Like a sunflower, the Twisp Chamber of Commerce symbolizes loyalty, longevity, and joy: loyalty to our members, longevity for the Town of Twisp, and joy to our Methow Valley community.

Like a flower, the joy grows this Spring! This year, the Chamber – in partnership with Twisp’s art organizations – is proud to bring into blossom Twisp’s Spring Art Walk, taking place on Saturday, May 14. 50+ local artists, makers and farmers will line Glover Street from Twisp Ave to TwispWorks to show off their wonderful wares – and smiling faces, with the recent removal of the state’s mask mandate! Joining them in the street are locally owned food trucks, scores of Methow musicians, and a variety of family-friendly, art-centric activities. All this, of course, on top of Twisp’s much-loved morning Farmers Market and evening entertainment at the pub of your choice.
