The Naturalist’s Sketchbook: A Springtime Adventure Series
May 6th, 13th, 27th, 2023. 12:00-5:00 pm (Take 1 class or all 3)
Join artist Perri Howard and naturalist David Lukas to explore the Methow Valley and learn how to sketch and journal what you see, feel, and experience when in nature.
Each session will include a 2 hr field excursion in the Methow Valley, followed by 2 hrs. of studio time for writing, drawing, and reflecting upon all that we experienced in the field. Hike location will be sent out prior to each session. The studio portion will be held at Perri’s studio at TwispWorks.
Classes are 12-5 pm on May 6th, 13th, and 27th. Take one class or all three! Come play outside with Perri and David, tap into the creative side of your brain, discover your inner naturalist, and learn to see, draw, and journal in a new way!

WHO: Do you get inspired by being outside?- Are you interested in becoming a more observant and engaged naturalist?- Do you get excited by exploring new approaches and techniques?- If you can’t draw ( or paint!), but you are willing to try, these classes are for you!
