An event not to be missed, the Winthrop Balloon Roundup is a three day festival set against the backdrop of winter. But don’t let the cold scare you off! March in the Methow brings sunny skies and will quickly warm your cheeks as you look up to watch the colorful balloons rise and float above town with the beautiful backdrop of the snow-capped North Cascades. Don’t forget your camera!

Activities begin Friday and Saturday morning with balloon take-offs at 7am. Starting at 6pm on Saturday night, visit the streets of downtown Winthrop to see the balloons illuminated under starry skies. In between balloon events, spend your weekend enjoying all the activities Winthrop and the Methow Valley has to offer including cross country skiing, ice skating, shopping, dining and a variety of art galleries and studios.
