Yogoetry!            

A yoga and writing camp for teens. June 26-29, 2017 from 12-4pm at the Methow Valley Community Center’s Pasayten Taekwondo Studio. $140.

When we write, we wish to access our authentic selves, tap into our true being and say the unsayable.  How do we find the images and sounds that will convey our deepest selves in words? Yoga is a great tool for accessing your creativity. This 4 day camp will use gentle yoga as a means to release your self-expression. No yoga experience required. Dress comfortably, and bring your journal, a pen or pencil, water, and a light snack. All yoga gear is provided.

Subhaga Crystal Bacon’s first book of poems, Elegy with a Glass of Whiskey, won the 2003 BOA Editions New Poetry America Prize.  Her poems have appeared in a variety of publications in the US and abroad. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers and is a registered yoga teacher.
