Start something new! This generative workshop, led by writer and fiddler Ken Waldman, is designed to get you writing—no matter your experience level. You’ll leave with four fresh starts and strategies for many more. Writers of all backgrounds are welcome.

Stick around after the workshop for Ken’s solo performance, a unique blend of Appalachian fiddle, original poetry, and Alaskan storytelling. It’s part concert, part literary reading, part travelogue—full of humor, heart, and surprises.

Ken Waldman is known as Alaska’s “Fiddling Poet.” A former college professor with an MFA in Creative Writing, he’s published 16 poetry collections, a memoir, a novel, and a creative writing guide. His performances have taken him from the Kennedy Center to festivals and stages across North America.
